Power-Up
Pause the game and press Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A then Start for missiles, items, and shields. This code may only be used once per level.
Continue Mode
Quickly press Down, Up, B, A, B, A, B, A, B, then A after losing the last ship on level 2 or higher.
Sound Test
Hold A and B and press Start on the title screen to access the sound test.
Hidden Message
Hold A and B then turn on the system. The message ‘KONAMI ONE GRADIUS TEN’ will be displayed.
Level Skip
Destroy the ship that appears at the end of each level within five seconds to skip the next level.
Super Speed Firing Ability
Gather up 6 capsules. You’ll see a ‘?’ on the screen. Pick up a 7th capsule when your score has a 0 in the thousandths digit. Press A and you will have super speed firing ability.
Extra Points
Gather up 6 capsules. You’ll see a ‘?’ on the screen. When there is a 5 in the thousandths digit of your score, collect a 7th capsule. You’ll be rewarded with extra points.
Extra Lives
In Phase 1, get on the right side of the floating orange asteroid when the number in the thousandths digit of your score is an even one. You will be rewarded with extra lives.
Extra Lives
In Phase 4, touch the left side of the floating orange asteroid then the number in the thousandths digit of your score is an even one. You will be rewarded with extra lives.
